Overview

IT is responsible for keeping classroom technology functioning. To that end, we stock projectors and respond as quickly as we are able to help desk tickets related to classrooms. We have a schedule for regular equipment upkeep and replacement, which includes replacing podium computers on a four year rotation, projectors on a seven year rotation, and other equipment such as control panels, screens, and sound systems inspected annually and replaced as-needed .

 

Policy

  1. Each classroom podium is equipped with a computer that has a DVD player and internet access.

  2. Podiums can also be accessed via HDMI input or screen casting.

  3. IT does not provide presentation remotes or adapters to connect computers to HDMI inputs in the podiums. Presenters have the option of using the podium computer or providing their own adapters. Because adapters are specific to the device which will be used to project, are easily lost, and regularly not returned, it is not possible for IT to accommodate requests for adapters.
